Memoir is a solo work, choreographed and performed by Maralee Joyner, that weaves together some of Maralee’s favorite stories from their childhood. Inspired by the format of memoirs, Maralee aimed to create a piece that arranges narratives in a nonlinear fashion. This piece includes stories that Maralee’s family has told time and time again, and invites the audience to remember the stories that are central to their own family.
